Dave Reid is a prolific contributed module developer, and he talks about a number of the modules that he and Palantir.net developed for Chicago’s Field Museum website, which recently launched on Drupal 7. Some of the modules that were ported to Drupal 7 include Pathauto and Token as well as some new modules such as Redirect, Field injector, module, and the Workbench content management tool. Reid also discusses developing on Drupal 7 before it’s official release, and some of the considerations and insights he gained from that experience. Finally, he describes his idea for a social bookmarking install profile called “DrupMarks” and gives some general tips for working with Drupal 7.
