Bryan House is the Vice President of Marketing for Acquia, and he talks about how he spends a lot of his time keeping the analyst community at firms like Forrester Research, Gartner and CMS Watch (now Real Story Group) informed about the capabilities of Drupal. He gave a presentation on “Competing with Giants – How to Win with Drupal vs Proprietary Alternatives” where he talked about some of the strengths and weaknesses of Drupal when it comes to dealing with the technical and marketing decision influencers at the enterprise level. He talks about how the analyst community tracks Drupal on various metrics and where Drupal is ranked on them. He also talks about the areas of Drupal that may prevent it from getting adopted by businesses. House also talks about what the very extensive sales and marketing team at Acquia is tasked with doing on a day-to-day basis. Finally, he talks about what he’s most excited about at both Acquia and the Drupal community.
