How do I fix a problem that's caused by the Panels module?

I have panels installed on my drupal site so I can have multiple columns set up on my site. Currently, I’ve been working on the profile page and I used panels to overwrite the stock panel page and customize my own. Since then, I’ve been getting this error whenever I try to look at another user’s profile page:

“warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/socialst/public_html/modules/panels/content_types/user_profile.inc on line 32.”

This warning repeats itself a few times. The fix that was recommended on the drupal.org site itself didn’t make much sense to me so I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so how they fixed it.

Link to the bug report that matches what my problem is: http://drupal.org/node/355012

Basically, I can insert that break line of code in and the errors go away, but then so does the profile information for the user as well.

Perhaps it’s just the panels module itself? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
